Role Context

The Senior Product Designer - UX and UI will help Talabat become a more experience‑first digital company by designing product journeys that are useful, intuitive, measurable, and aligned with customer needs. The role works closely with product managers, researchers, engineers, business stakeholders, and design chapter members to define problem areas, validate assumptions, improve user journeys, and deliver high‑quality interface solutions. By combining research, strategy, prototyping, storytelling, and design system thinking, the position contributes to stronger customer experiences and better product outcomes across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop deep knowledge of the assigned product area, customer journeys, business goals, and squad priorities.
• Partner with product managers and design leaders to define focus areas, clarify problems, and shape product direction.
• Use generative research, user feedback, journey analysis, and insight synthesis to understand customer pain points before designing solutions.
• Reduce assumptions in the design process by validating ideas through qualitative feedback, quantitative data, experiments, and usability insights.
• Create simple, elegant, and scalable solutions for complex interaction problems across web and mobile product experiences.
• Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, sketches, interaction models, and high‑fidelity visuals for new and improved product features.
• Use and evolve Talabat's design system to maintain consistency, usability, accessibility, and product quality across experiences.
• Think beyond one‑off screens by designing reusable patterns, scalable systems, and consistent product behaviors.
• Facilitate collaborative workshops with product, engineering, research, business, and other stakeholders to generate ideas, gather feedback, and build alignment.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to evaluate product opportunities, define design rationale, and support feature strategy.
• Use metrics, user behavior signals, research findings, and product performance data to evaluate and improve the user experience continuously.
• Present design work clearly to peers, stakeholders, and senior leaders, explaining decisions through strong storytelling and evidence.
• Collaborate with engineers during implementation to protect design quality and ensure important details are carried through the release cycle.
• Improve design processes, design documentation, team knowledge, and tools to support higher productivity and better product delivery.
• Proactively contribute to the design chapter by sharing knowledge, improving collaboration, and supporting design culture.
• Mentor junior designers by providing feedback, guidance, and practical support across design craft and problem‑solving.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Design, Marketing, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Graphics, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5-6 years of full‑time UX and UI design experience in agile, consumer‑focused, high‑performance organizations.
• At least 2-3 years of direct experience interacting with users through interviews, usability sessions, research activities, feedback reviews, or product discovery work.
• Strong problem‑solving ability with advanced knowledge of frameworks such as double diamond, design thinking, discovery methods, and structured ideation.
• Proven experience partnering with Product Managers to develop feature strategy, define rationale, and connect design work with business outcomes.
• Experience organizing and facilitating workshops, feedback sessions, ideation activities, and stakeholder alignment discussions.
• Advanced knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, Figma, or similar digital product design tools.
• Strong portfolio that clearly shows design thinking, user experience depth, research insight, visual quality, and product impact.
• Track record of shipping polished digital product experiences with a strong understanding of what matters at each stage of the release cycle.
• Good understanding of how to validate hypotheses using qualitative insights, quantitative data, usability feedback, and product metrics.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to explain design decisions clearly and inspire action.
