Job summary

PlaceUp in Abu Dhabi is seeking a results-driven Procurement Lead to oversee joinery and fit-out procurement from sourcing to installation. You will negotiate with global suppliers, manage material sourcing, and coordinate logistics to ensure projects meet timelines and budgets.

The role requires strong leadership, supplier network development, and a focus on cost control across multi‑discipline projects in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement within joinery, woodworking, or fit-out industry.
• Strong knowledge of materials, suppliers, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience managing supply chains and international sourcing.
• Commercially driven with strong cost-control mindset.
• Leadership experience managing procurement teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors (local & international).
• Manage procurement of raw materials (wood, veneers, laminates, hardware, finishes) and FF&E items.
• Establish and maintain supplier, distributor, and sub-distributor networks.
• Oversee factory coordination, production planning, and quality control processes.
• Lead contract negotiations, pricing agreements, and supplier performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and project requirements.
• Monitor logistics, shipping, and delivery schedules to meet project deadlines.
• Optimize cost, value engineering, and risk management across projects.
• Collaborate with design, project management, and commercial teams.
