Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a seasoned Project Management / Engineering professional in Abu Dhabi to lead and oversee development and investment projects. You will prepare feasibility studies, terms of reference, and technical requirements, and manage implementation through the PMO system with strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

You will review contractor performance, approve financials, and ensure timely responses to stakeholders while producing regular progress reports and improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Disciplines.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in project management and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop implementation plans for projects and initiatives including feasibility studies, terms of reference, and technical requirements.
• Monitor and manage projects through the PMO system; supervise field sites; verify quality and compliance with designs.
• Evaluate contractor performance and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Review and approve payments, assess variation orders, and audit financial claims.
• Prepare responses to communications from consultants, contractors, and internal units.
• Prepare periodic progress reports and propose corrective actions.
• Support development of improvement plans aligned with international standards.
• Uphold information security policies and report breaches; participate in related training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Develop implementation plans for assigned projects and initiatives in line with relevant project policies and strategies, including the preparation of feasibility studies, terms of reference, and engineering and technical requirements for development and investment projects related to the activities and services of the organizational unit.


• Monitor and manage assigned projects through the Project Management Office (PMO) system, and conduct field supervision of ongoing project sites. Inspect work progress, verify the quality of materials and completed works and their compliance with approved designs, plans, and drawings, and approve the technical personnel assigned by consultants and contractors.


• Evaluate the performance of contractors and consultants in terms of their compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and approved schedules in accordance with contractual requirements and in coordination with the concerned departments. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements at Municipality work sites in accordance with applicable laws, local orders, and relevant guidelines.


• Review and approve payments to contractors and consultants, evaluate variation orders for assigned projects, and introduce the necessary amendments in accordance with the interests of the work. Review and audit financial claims related to completed projects.


• Ensure the timely preparation of responses to correspondence received from consultants, contractors, the Municipality’s organizational units, and external entities related to assigned projects.


• Prepare periodic reports on the implementation of assigned projects, including achievements, challenges affecting project progress, and the necessary proposals and recommendations to address them.


• Participate in developing improvement plans in the best interests of the Municipality and in alignment with international best practices and standards in the relevant field.


• Comply with information security policies and protect data and information in accordance with the Municipality’s approved Data Classification Policy. Report any violations or security breaches through the channels designated by the Municipality and participate in information security-related training programs.


• Perform any other duties and responsibilities related to the nature and scope of the position, as assigned.
