Job summary

Elite HR Consultancy is seeking a Presales Engineer for Data Center & ICT Solutions in Dubai, UAE. You will translate customer requirements into technically and commercially viable solutions and support RFP/RFQ/RFI processes.

The role emphasizes data center infrastructure, enterprise solutions and collaboration with sales, vendors and customers through the presales cycle. Immediate joiners preferred with AED 7,000–10,000 monthly compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of presales experience in ICT/IT infrastructure.
• Strong data center, enterprise infrastructure or systems integration experience.
• Hands-on in solution design, BoQ preparation and technical proposal development.
• Strong understanding of RFP/RFQ/RFI and tender processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Immediate joiners or candidates available to relocate immediately are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze customer technical and business requirements.
• Design and architect ICT and data center solutions based on customer requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution designs, BoQs and sizing.
• Manage and respond to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs and tenders.
• Provide technical documentation, scope of work and statements of compliance.
• Conduct technical presentations and solution demonstrations for customers.
• Support sales teams during customer meetings and opportunity development.
• Coordinate with vendors for solution development and pricing.
• Support costing and commercial activities with the sales team.
• Participate in PoCs where required.
• Assist in project handover from presales to implementation teams.

Presales Engineer – Data Center & ICT Solutions

Location: Dubai, UAE

Experience: 5 - 7 years

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Presales Engineer to join an established ICT Systems Integrator in Dubai.

The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, designing appropriate technical solutions, developing proposals and BoQs, supporting RFP/RFQ/RFI processes, and working closely with sales, vendors and customers throughout the presales cycle.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data center and enterprise infrastructure solutions, with the ability to translate business requirements into technically and commercially viable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze customer technical and business requirements.
• Design and architect ICT and data center solutions based on customer requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution designs, BoQs and solution sizing.
• Manage and respond to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs and tenders.
• Prepare technical documentation, scope of work and statements of compliance.
• Conduct technical presentations and solution demonstrations for customers.
• Support sales teams during customer meetings and opportunity development.
• Coordinate with technology vendors and partners for solution development and pricing.
• Support costing and commercial activities in coordination with the sales team.
• Participate in Proof of Concept (PoC) activities where required.
• Provide technical clarification during the bidding and negotiation process.
• Support project handover from presales to implementation teams.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and data center technologies.

Technical Experience

Strong understanding of one or more of the following areas:

• Servers and Compute
• Storage, SAN/NAS
• Networking
• Backup and Disaster Recovery
• Business Continuity and High Availability
• Data Center Infrastructure
• Data Center Security
• Cloud and Hybrid Cloud

Experience with technologies/vendors such as Cisco, HPE, Dell, VMware, Microsoft, Fortinet, Sophos, Huawei, Veeam, Azure or AWS will be an advantage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant presales experience in ICT / IT infrastructure.
• Strong experience in data center, enterprise infrastructure or systems integration environments.
• Hands-on experience in solution design, BoQ preparation and technical proposal development.
• Strong understanding of RFP/RFQ/RFI and tender processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong presentation and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work closely with sales, technical teams, vendors and customers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• UAE/GCC experience will be an advantage.
• Immediate joiners or candidates available to relocate immediately are preferred.
• AED 7,000–10,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.
