Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the resort’s Pool Services team. You will oversee daily pool operations, coordinate lifeguard and attendant scheduling, monitor water quality, and ensure guest services are delivered to high standards.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or degree in Hospitality or related field, 3–5 years in pool operations, relevant certifications, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Recreation, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pool or recreation operations, with supervisory experience.
• Lifeguard and First Aid/CPR certification required; Pool Operator Certification preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of pool maintenance and water safety standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Prior experience and training with Forbes Travel Guide standards required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily pool operations, including lifeguard and pool attendant scheduling, guest services, and cleanliness.
• Monitor water quality and coordinate with engineering for maintenance and repairs.
• Support the Aquatics Manager in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Supervise and train team members to maintain high standards of service and safety.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain inventory of pool supplies and assist with ordering and stock control.
• Ensure poolside amenities are well-maintained and presented.
• Assist in organizing poolside events and special services.
• Ensure Forbes Five Star standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of water testing, incident reports, and staff certifications.
