Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed master schedules and construction programmes using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

  • Analyze critical paths and near‑critical activities affecting dates.
  • Prepare recovery strategies and corrective planning.
  • Coordinate planning with architects, engineers, contractors, and teams.
  • Monitor expenditure and programme performance for cost/schedule impacts.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and dashboards.
  • Manage resource planning, including labour, equipment, and materials.
  • Review methodologies and suggest sequencing improvements.
  • Conduct site reviews and progress meetings to validate data.
  • Assess risks and develop mitigation plans for delays and interfaces.
  • Maintain schedule records, revisions, and change orders.
  • Support scope changes and assess cost/resource impact.
  • Ensure alignment with UAE regulations and contractual requirements.
  • Provide technical planning guidance to project staff.
  • Coordinate multiple priorities with clear milestone visibility.

The Planning Manager will provide senior-level control over project scheduling, programme performance, construction sequencing, resource requirements, and progress forecasting across major construction activities. The position will translate project scope and technical requirements into realistic schedules while continuously assessing whether site performance remains consistent with approved delivery targets. The role will also provide management with early visibility of delays, resource constraints, cost pressures, and programme risks. Through disciplined schedule analysis and coordination with engineers, contractors, consultants, and site teams, the Planning Manager will help protect project milestones and support informed decisions throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed master schedules and construction programmes using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent planning systems.
  • Establish logical activity sequencing, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, and critical delivery dates.
  • Maintain and update project schedules using verified construction progress and current site information.
  • Monitor actual performance against approved baseline programmes and identify schedule variances at an early stage.
  • Analyse critical and near-critical activities that may influence project completion dates.
  • Prepare recovery strategies and corrective planning measures where construction activities fall behind schedule.
  • Coordinate construction planning with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and project management teams.
  • Monitor project expenditure and programme performance to identify potential cost and schedule impacts.
