Planning Manager - Construction Scheduling in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates is a senior Construction opportunity for an experienced planning professional with extensive expertise in Primavera P6, project scheduling, construction supervision, cost control, resource management, and programme risk analysis. AECOM is hiring a planning leader to oversee complex project schedules, monitor progress against approved baselines, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure major construction projects remain aligned with delivery milestones, budgets, quality requirements, and UAE regulations.
The Planning Manager will provide senior-level control over project scheduling, programme performance, construction sequencing, resource requirements, and progress forecasting across major construction activities. The position will translate project scope and technical requirements into realistic schedules while continuously assessing whether site performance remains consistent with approved delivery targets. The role will also provide management with early visibility of delays, resource constraints, cost pressures, and programme risks. Through disciplined schedule analysis and coordination with engineers, contractors, consultants, and site teams, the Planning Manager will help protect project milestones and support informed decisions throughout the construction lifecycle.
Ideal Profile Candidates should have at least 18 years of professional experience in construction planning, scheduling, project supervision, or major project controls. Extensive practical knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or comparable planning platforms is essential. Candidates should be capable of developing complex construction schedules, evaluating critical paths, monitoring progress, forecasting completion, and designing recovery strategies. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, resource planning, cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis is required. Previous responsibility for large-scale construction projects from planning through completion will be particularly valuable. The role also requires familiarity with UAE construction regulations, local building codes, and regional compliance requirements. The successful professional will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical judgment, organization, communication, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams while managing several planning priorities simultaneously.
