Role Context The Planning Engineer will support the successful delivery of road and infrastructure construction projects by maintaining reliable schedules and providing clear visibility of project performance. Working alongside project managers, supervision teams, contractors, and other stakeholders, the role helps ensure that procurement, construction activities, milestones, risks, variations, and potential delays are properly assessed and reflected in the overall programme. Accurate planning information will be essential for management decisions, progress reviews, claim assessments, and timely corrective action throughout the project lifecycle.
The position requires a Bachelor 's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management together with at least 8 years of relevant experience in road construction or closely related infrastructure works. Candidates should bring practical knowledge of construction methodologies, programme development, contractor scheduling, progress measurement, and critical path techniques. Strong Primavera capability is important, along with the analytical ability to detect inconsistencies and evaluate programme performance accurately. Experience working within the Middle East construction sector is preferred, while familiarity with UAE construction regulations, infrastructure standards, and project delivery practices will be advantageous. The successful professional will be comfortable working between office-based planning activities and construction sites, communicating findings clearly to technical and management teams.
