Job summary

NMDC in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to lead planning activities on complex projects. You will support tender analyses, develop execution plans, and coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Yards, Offshore, Onshore and PMT to monitor progress and control performance.

The role involves site visits, data analysis, and timely inputs for management reports, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and planning baselines, with duties to cover during the absence

Responsibilities

• Understand tender/contractual conditions, scope & obligations (including estimation basis).
• Understand project execution plan, work breakdown structure (WBS), activity sequence, priorities and planning logics & constraints.
• Assist in the preparation of Project Planning Package and Project Specific Project Control Procedure.
• Measure actual progress and monitor against planned.
• Assist in periodic issuance of updated planning package, progress reports, monitoring package & production control tools in co‑ordination and communication with various executing parties (Engineering, Procurement, Yards, Offshore, Onshore and PMT).
• Regular site visits for progress follow up.
• Process and analyse planning & project control related data.
• Identify potential problems and areas of concern.
• Provide necessary inputs for internal management / corporate level reports.
• Resume the duty of Senior Planning Engineer during his absence.
