Job summary

Engineering Consortium Consulting Engineers seeks an experienced project planner/controls professional to review contractor programs, monitor progress, and advise on corrective actions. You will prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports, attend management meetings, and ensure alignment with contract documents and BOQs.

The role requires 10–15 years in consultancy, a Bachelor’s in Engineering, PMP or equivalent, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification.
• 10-15 years of experience in project planning and execution in a consultant company.
• Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review the submitted programs from contractors and give comments and consent.
• Review submitted update weekly progress reports and give comments and consent.
• Monitor progress and advise contractors for required corrective actions, if needed.
• Review submitted claim from contractors for EOT and give comments, consent and recommendations.
• Prepare daily progress reports: update information on progress of activities at site, including manpower and material.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports: monitor actual vs planned percentages and any unanswered issues.
• Conduct site visits to monitor activities and gain visual insight of ongoing work.
• Coordinate progress and attend special upper management meetings, focusing on scope, time and money.
• Read and understand contract documents, specifications, drawings and BOQs.
• Review the approved program of works regularly and keep focus on long‑lead items.
• Monitor program of works divided into: material submittals, shop drawings, procurement, construction, commissioning and hand‑over.
• Attend kickoff meetings and participate in planning efforts.
• Provide complete reporting to the client daily, weekly and monthly.
• Highlight weaknesses on site and verify all submitted contractor reports.
• Maintain a master schedule for the client and prepare presentations.
• Include all changes to scope and variation work requested by client or contractor.
• Participate in project closing out.
