Job summary

NMDC Careers in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, seeks a Senior Planning Engineer to manage project planning, monitoring, and production control. The role includes understanding tender conditions, WBS, and execution plans, and supporting the preparation of planning packages and control procedures.

The candidate will measure progress, prepare coordination reports with multiple disciplines, and conduct site visits for progress follow-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in a related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project planning, monitoring, and production control.

Responsibilities

• Understand tender/contractual conditions, scope, and obligations.
• Understand project execution plans, WBS, activity sequences, priorities, planning logic, and constraints.
• Assist in the preparation of Project Planning Packages and Project-Specific Project Control Procedures.
• Measure actual progress and monitor against planned progress.
• Assist in issuing updated planning packages and progress reports in coordination with Engineering, Procurement, Yards, Offshore, Onshore, and PMT.
• Conduct regular site visits for progress follow-up.
• Process and analyze planning and project control data.
• Identify potential problems and areas of concern.
• Provide inputs for internal management and corporate-level reports.
• Assist in duties of Senior Planning Engineer during their absence.

• Understand project execution plans, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activity sequences, priorities, planning logic, and constraints.
• Assist in the preparation of Project Planning Packages and Project-Specific Project Control Procedures.
• Measure actual progress and monitor against planned progress.
• Assist in the periodic issuance of updated planning packages, progress reports, monitoring packages, and production control tools in coordination and communication with various executing parties (Engineering, Procurement, Yards, Offshore, Onshore, and PMT).
• Conduct regular site visits for progress follow-up.
• Process and analyze planning and project control-related data.
• Identify potential problems and areas of concern.
• Provide necessary inputs for internal management and corporate-level reports.
• Assume the duties of the Senior Planning Engineer during their absence.
• Ensure compliance with Project Control Procedures and HSE Standards.

Qualifications
