- Execute, manage, and superviseplanning/reporting activities within projects of any size and complexityunder the Project Control Manager’s supervision, ensuring compliancewith contract, quality requirements, and project execution plans.Oversee the Planning team’s daily activities.
Duties and responsibilities
- Guide planningengineers in initializing project control tools per company procedures .
- Lead thepreparation of planning procedures (WBS, schedules, progressmeasurement) in compliance with contract and company standards.
- Prepare projectcontrol planning documents (Milestones Plan, 90 days Schedule, WBS,Top-Down Schedule, Project Control Schedule, Progress Curves, Reporting,Manpower Histograms) under the Project Control Manager’s supervision.
- Review and issueplanning reports, ensuring consistency.
- Develop ScheduleNarrative/Basis of Assumptions, tracking deviations from Baseline.
- Perform periodicschedule control, assess project physical progress, forecast completion,and propose corrective actions.
- Monitor manhourexpenditure and productivity trends.
- Organize andconduct meetings for review and decision-making on critical matters.
- Identify, analyze,and monitor schedule deviations, recommending corrective actions.
- Guide subcontractteam in finalizing contractual schedules/milestones with subcontractors.
- Support ProjectTeam in performing Schedule Risk Analysis.
- Interact withClient’s Planning representative and company departments, clients, andvendors to gather necessary planning-related information.
- Analyze the impactof potential changes/claims and support decision-making for pathforward.
- Assist ContractManagement team in delay and schedule impact analysis.
- Maintain autonomousknowledge of company tools (Primavera P6, Milemate! Schedule RiskAnalysis, Acumen Fuse, TPMS).
- Prepare fieldproject planning activities per company procedures and PCM’sinstructions.
- Work closely withConstruction Subcontractors on developing Contract Level 3 & 4Schedules and manpower histograms to ensure milestone compliance.
- Verify feasibilityof construction schedules with scheduled deliveries of documentation andmaterials.
- MonitorSubcontractor performance in terms of efficiency, progress, andresources.
- Coordinate withmaterial controller for construction feasibility and Material Control.
- Collect data atproject completion for database development and Project Close-outreport.
- Train and supportassigned Planning/Reporting Junior Engineers.
- Stay updated ontechnical improvements in the discipline.
- Provide feedback tothe Planning services leader on issues arising from standard methods to improve efficiency
- Manage planningactivities independently for small size EPC projects.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications
- University Degree or Diploma in Civil disciplineor equivalent.
Experience
- Significant experience in the industrialconstruction of large or xl gas plants.
- Covered a similar role in at least 2-3 projects ofcomparable size.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience(essential).
- Experience working on the top tier Contractor side(essential).
