Job summary

Horizon Jebel Ali Terminals is seeking a Planning & Customer Care Manager to optimize terminal operations through precise scheduling of activities and alignment with subcontractors. You will safeguard assets, maintain stock records, and drive customer satisfaction by coordinating with clients and external partners.

The role requires a BSC in engineering and 5–6 years in a similar capacity, ideally in oil & gas, with strong planning, organizing and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• BSC in an Engineering discipline (preferably Chemical).
• 5–6 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in oil & gas.
• Strong interpersonal and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates terminal activities and schedules to optimize operations.

Job Purpose

To ensure that terminal operations are optimized through the timely scheduling of the various activities and those activities are synchronized with sub-contracted activities in a manner those results in the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

To ensure proper stock management and reporting as a means of safe-guarding HJATL against potential financial liability and as a means of achieving the terminal’s “full occupancy” target.

Principal Accountabilities

• Manages client accounts effectively and efficiently and ensures the formation of solid business partnerships, through:
• Understanding clients’ business operations and terminalling requirements (present and future) through on-going contact (including regular site visits)
• Ensuring that client requirements are met as per agreed criteria (quality, quantity, time and cost) through the effective and efficient scheduling of terminalling activities and coordination within HJATL as well as with various government entities and third parties (may be the Client’s service providers or customers).
• Managing client expectations and ensuring “damage” control in situations where service issues arise
• Prepares the monthly/quarterly work schedule for the terminal, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of operations (through maximizing the output from each activity and ensuring proper synchronization between activities internal to HJATL and those to be performed by third parties)
• Ensures proper stock management as a means of safe-guarding HJATL against “potentially” substantial financial liability. This includes:
• Coordinating the product “testing/surveying” procedure with third party specialists and reviewing the conclusion report prior to granting approval for product receipt and storage in HJATL In all cases?
• Ensuring that a proper MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet – provide a detailed description of the product e.g. chemical composition and properties, handling methods, etc.) library is maintained and that the said documents are distributed to the relevant parties.
• Consolidating the final stock report, ensuring that the product quantity received, utilized (i.e. blended, drummed, paletized and dispatched) and product quantity remaining are accounted for.
• Contributes to HJAL’s “full occupancy” target through the timely communication of upcoming storage space/tank availability
• Coordinates storage services with Chemstore in situations where space availability in HJATL does not allow for fulfilling Client requirement.

Cyber Information Security Responsibilities

• Fulfil role-specific information security responsibilities and contribute to maintaining the effectiveness of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Experience
