The Planning Coordinator supports the Planning/Project Controls team in developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules across the full development lifecycle. The role ensures effective coordination between internal departments, consultants, and contractors to maintain timely project delivery in line with the developer's objectives.
Key Requirements:
1. Project Scheduling & Reporting
- Assist in preparing, updating, and maintaining project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Track progress against the approved baseline schedule and highlight delays or risks.
- Support in developing weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc progress reports for management.
- Compile data on project milestones, KPIs, critical paths, and deliverables.
2. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate between design, development, project management, commercial, and procurement teams to gather schedule inputs.
- Follow up with consultants and contractors to ensure timely submission of schedules, deliverables, and progress updates.
- Assist in organizing project review meetings and prepare meeting minutes, action logs, and follow-ups.
3. Documentation & Control
- Maintain accurate project documentation including schedules, variations, approvals, and correspondence.
- Ensure all planning-related documentation is aligned with company standards and uploaded into the document management system (Aconex or similar).
- Support the planning team in preparing presentations and dashboards for management.
- Support in identifying schedule risks and potential impacts on cost or timelines.
- Assist in monitoring change requests and updating schedule implications in coordination with the planning team.
- Help ensure that mitigation measures and recovery plans are tracked and implemented.
5. Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with internal governance processes, development frameworks, and UAE authority requirements.
- Support the planning team in quality reviews of contractor and consultant programs.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in planning, project coordination, or project controls within the UAE real estate or construction sector.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of real estate development stages (concept, design, tender, construction, handover).
