Job summary

TOP ROCK INTERIORS LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Planning Engineer to develop and manage schedules for multiple interior fit-out and joinery projects. You will coordinate with PMs, site teams, design, procurement, and QA/QC to ensure accurate baselines and timely progress updates.

The role requires 3–5 years UAE experience in planning, expertise with Primavera P6, and strong Excel-based reporting and dashboard development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years UAE experience as Planning Engineer.
• Interior Fit-Out / Joinery experience is mandatory.
• Experience handling multiple Interior Fit-Out projects simultaneously.
• Strong planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6; MS Project is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules for multiple Interior Fit-Out and Joinery projects.
• Prepare baseline programs, detailed execution schedules, look-ahead, recovery, and revised schedules.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, site teams, design, procurement, and QA/QC to develop schedules.
• Monitor progress against baselines and identify delays and deviations.
• Collect and consolidate progress updates from multiple project sites and teams.
• Develop a single consolidated dashboard showing progress, status, delays, and completion dates.
• Track milestones including design approvals, shop drawings, material submittals, procurement, and handover.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, KPIs, S-curves, progress charts, and management reports.
• Conduct critical path analysis and identify activities impacting completion.
• Carry out delay analysis and propose recovery plans with PMs and site teams.
• Monitor forecasts and provide early warnings of slippages.
• Coordinate with procurement and commercial teams to track long-lead materials and milestones.

Job description

1. Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules for multiple Interior Fit-Out and Joinery projects simultaneously.

2. Prepare baseline programs, detailed execution schedules, look-ahead schedules, recovery programs, and revised schedules.

3. Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Site Teams, Design, Procurement, Commercial, QA/QC, and other departments to develop accurate project schedules.

4. Monitor actual project progress against approved baseline programs and identify delays, slippages, and schedule deviations.

5. Collect, verify, and consolidate progress updates from multiple project sites and project teams.

6. Develop and maintain a single consolidated project dashboard showing the progress, status, delays, critical activities, and expected completion dates of multiple projects.

7. Track key project milestones including design approvals, shop drawings, material submittals, procurement, site execution, inspections, snagging, and handover.

8. Monitor shop drawing, technical submission, material approval, and procurement timelines and highlight potential delays.

9. Prepare and update weekly and monthly progress reports, KPIs, S-curves, progress charts, and management reports.

10. Conduct critical path analysis and identify activities that may impact project completion.

11. Carry out delay analysis and prepare practical recovery plans in coordination with Project Managers and Site Teams.

12. Monitor project completion forecasts and provide early warnings regarding potential schedule slippages.

13. Coordinate with Procurement and Commercial teams to track long-lead materials, procurement activities, and commercial milestones against project schedules.

14. Conduct regular progress review meetings and follow up on action points with respective project teams.

15. Monitor manpower, resources, productivity, and project requirements against approved schedules.

16. Maintain accurate planning records, schedule updates, progress trackers, and supporting documentation.

17. Present consolidated project progress, key risks, delays, and recovery actions to management.

18. Support project teams in identifying risks, constraints, dependencies, and schedule impacts.

19. Assist in tender planning, preliminary schedules, resource forecasting, and project mobilization when required.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

2. Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience as a Planning Engineer.

3. Interior Fit-Out / Joinery experience is mandatory.

4. Proven experience handling multiple Interior Fit-Out projects simultaneously.

5. Strong hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and project reporting.

6. Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6; MS Project knowledge is an added advantage.

7. Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced trackers, reporting, data analysis, and dashboard development.

8. Demonstrated ability to develop a single consolidated dashboard presenting the progress of multiple projects for management review.

9. Strong knowledge of baseline programs, look-ahead schedules, critical path analysis, progress measurement, delay analysis, recovery planning, and project forecasting.

10. Experience tracking design, shop drawings, material approvals, procurement, site execution, inspections, snagging, and handover activities.

11. Good understanding of Interior Fit-Out project sequences, dependencies, resources, and execution methodologies.

12. Experience in F&B, Retail, Commercial, Hospitality, or similar Interior Fit-Out projects will be a strong advantage.

13. Experience with Power BI or other project dashboard/reporting tools is an added advantage.

14. Strong analytical, presentation, reporting, coordination, and communication skills.

15. Ability to collect and validate information from multiple project teams and convert it into meaningful management reports.

16. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

17. UAE Driving License is an added advantage.
