Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured physical education lessons for assigned classes.
- Teach physical fitness, movement skills, coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Communicate teaching instructions and student guidance fluently in Arabic.
- Prepare lesson plans, activity schedules, assessments, and learning resources.
- Develop realistic, reliable, and valid procedures for evaluating student performance.
- Assess, record, monitor, and report students' physical development and participation.
- Use assessment findings to adapt instruction and provide targeted support.
- Establish effective teaching methods that prioritize hygiene, safety, and student wellbeing.
- Maintain positive behaviour and safe participation during lessons and sporting activities.
- Develop and monitor departmental aims, objectives, priorities, and operating procedures.
- Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of physical education provision.
- Prepare written reports on departmental activities, student progress, events, and resource needs.
- Support quality assurance across the complete physical education experience.
- Manage and maintain sports equipment, teaching resources, and physical education facilities.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and report damaged or unsafe resources.
- Liaise with advisory services, support teams, teachers, and other school departments.
- Coordinate inter‑house sports competitions and related student trips.
- Support whole‑school House Days, Sports Days, and Swimming Galas.
- Prepare sports displays, demonstrations, workshops, and student enrichment activities.
- Encourage inclusive participation for students with different abilities and fitness levels.
- Follow school safeguarding, risk assessment, first aid, and health and safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with parents, colleagues, students, and school leaders.
Ideal Profile
- Female physical education teacher with relevant school teaching experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Education, or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification is preferred.
- Teaching fluency in Arabic is required.
- Good English communication skills are advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of physical education assessment, lesson preparation, and progress reporting.
- Experience organizing sports days, swimming galas, inter‑house competitions, or school events.
- Understanding of hygiene, student safety, and risk management in physical education.
- Ability to maintain sports resources, equipment, and facilities.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement capabilities.
- Ability to develop inclusive activities for varied student needs.
