This role is suitable for an experienced Physical Education professional who can lead PE teachers, manage sports activities, improve student engagement, and ensure that physical education programs support fitness, teamwork, discipline, safety, and holistic development across the school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination of the school's Physical Education curriculum, ensuring consistent delivery across relevant grade levels.
  • Supervise and support PE teachers to maintain strong teaching standards, student engagement, and safe activity management.
  • Develop, implement, and review PE programs that promote fitness, health education, skill development, teamwork, and student wellbeing.
  • Coordinate sports schedules, inter‑school tournaments, internal competitions, sports days, clubs, and extracurricular physical activities.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and professional development support to PE teachers to improve instructional quality.
  • Monitor the safety, availability, and proper use of sports facilities, equipment, playground areas, and training spaces.
  • Manage PE department resources, budget requirements, equipment procurement, inventory checks, and allocation of materials.
  • Work with school leadership teams to align Physical Education with broader academic, pastoral, wellness, and student development goals.
  • Design assessment frameworks to measure student progress in fitness, motor skills, participation, teamwork, and physical development.
  • Promote health, wellness, sportsmanship, active lifestyles, and positive participation across the school community.
  • Build strong relationships with external sports organizations, coaches, vendors, and event partners to create meaningful student opportunities.
  • Support risk assessment, first aid readiness, supervision planning, and safety procedures for sports activities and physical education lessons.
  • Review student participation data, event outcomes, and teacher feedback to improve future PE planning and activity design.
  • Encourage inclusive sports participation so that students of different abilities can benefit from physical education and wellness programs.
  • Maintain clear records related to curriculum plans, sports calendars, equipment usage, assessments, events, and department development.
Ideal Profile
  • Master's degree in Physical Education or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in physical education teaching is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or coordination role in the UAE is required.
  • Strong understanding of PE curriculum development, student‑centered teaching strategies, sports programming, and school‑based wellness initiatives.
  • Experience managing PE teachers, sports schedules, extracurricular activities, events, tournaments, and inter‑school competitions.
  • Ability to manage multiple teams, sites, schedules, equipment needs, and activity plans with strong attention to safety and organization.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong planning ability with a practical approach to budget use, resource allocation, equipment procurement, and facility readiness.
  • First Aid certification and coaching certifications will be an advantage.
