Role Context

The Physical Education Coordinator is responsible for leading all PE teaching operations, department planning, and school-wide sports engagement initiatives. The position ensures that students receive a high‑quality physical education experience while supporting staff development, student fitness, safety standards, and the successful delivery of sports programs across the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise PE teachers to ensure consistent lesson delivery and strong academic and sports program standards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive Physical Education curriculum focused on health, fitness, and skill development.
• Coordinate sports calendars, tournaments, inter‑school competitions, sports days, and extracurricular physical activity programs.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and continuous professional development support for PE teaching staff.
• Maintain high standards of safety and operational readiness across sports facilities, gym areas, and equipment.
• Manage department budgets, equipment purchasing, and efficient resource planning for PE operations.
• Work closely with school leadership to integrate physical education into the broader academic and student wellbeing framework.
• Design and implement student assessment systems to monitor physical development and participation.
• Promote school‑wide health awareness, active lifestyle campaigns, and student wellness initiatives.
• Build partnerships with external sports organizations, coaches, and service providers for enhanced student experiences.
• Support swimming galas, inter‑house competitions, and major school events linked to sports and wellbeing.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and UAE education standards.

Ideal Profile

• Master's degree in Physical Education or a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of Physical Education teaching experience is mandatory.
• At least 2 years of leadership or coordination experience within the UAE education sector is required.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, sports event management, and student‑centered teaching methods.
• Excellent leadership and department management abilities.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple teams, schedules, and operational priorities effectively.
• Experience in British or CBSE curriculum schools is highly preferred.
• First Aid certification and Coaching certifications will be an added advantage.
