Role Overview

Physical Education Coordinator in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a full‑time Education role for an experienced PE leader who can manage the physical education curriculum, support PE teachers, coordinate sports programs, and promote health, fitness, teamwork, and holistic student development.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support PE teachers to ensure consistency in teaching quality, curriculum delivery, and student engagement.
• Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive physical education curriculum focused on fitness, health education, sports skills, teamwork, and physical development.
• Coordinate sports schedules, tournaments, inter‑school competitions, extracurricular activities, and whole‑school PE events.
• Provide mentorship, professional development, coaching support, and instructional guidance to PE teachers.
• Monitor PE lesson delivery and support teachers in improving teaching strategies, assessment methods, and student‑centered learning.
• Oversee the safety, maintenance, and effective use of sports facilities, equipment, and PE resources.
• Manage PE department budgets, equipment procurement, inventory control, and resource allocation efficiently.
• Collaborate with school leadership teams to integrate physical education into the wider educational and wellbeing framework.
• Design assessment systems to measure student progress, physical development, participation, skills, and fitness improvement.
• Promote health, wellness, active lifestyle habits, sportsmanship, resilience, and teamwork across the school community.
• Organise initiatives that encourage student participation in physical activity, fitness programs, and sports enrichment.
• Liaise with external sports organisations, coaches, vendors, and community partners to enhance student opportunities.
• Ensure all PE programmes follow strong safety standards, supervision procedures, and school policies.

Ideal Profile

• Master's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in physical education teaching.
• At least 2 years of experience in a PE leadership or coordination role in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of PE curriculum development, student assessment, event planning, and sports programme management.
• Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and support PE teachers across curriculum and extracurricular activities.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams, programmes, schedules, and school sites.
• Experience coordinating tournaments, sports days, inter‑school competitions, fitness programmes, and extracurricular activities.
• Good understanding of sports facility safety, equipment maintenance, risk assessment, and student supervision.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, mentoring, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, coaches, parents, vendors, and external sports partners.
• First Aid certification and coaching certifications will be an advantage.
