Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physical Education or related field required or preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of physical education teaching experience.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role within the United Arab Emirates.
• Strong knowledge of PE curriculum development and assessment.
• Proven experience supervising teachers and improving programme delivery.
• Ability to manage multiple teams, activities, and budgets.
• First Aid and sports coaching certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of the physical education curriculum.
• Supervise PE teachers and maintain consistent standards across lessons and activities.
• Support teachers with curriculum planning, instructional strategies, assessment, and classroom management.
• Conduct lesson observations and provide practical developmental feedback.
• Develop age-appropriate programmes that promote fitness, coordination, health education, teamwork, and sports skills.
• Design assessment frameworks to monitor student progress and physical development.
• Coordinate sports schedules, training sessions, tournaments, competitions, and inter-school events.
• Organise extracurricular clubs, fitness programmes, sports days, and wellness initiatives.
• Ensure sporting activities support inclusion and varied student abilities.
• Mentor PE teachers and deliver professional development to improve instructional quality.
• Promote student-centred teaching methods and safe participation in physical activities.
• Oversee inspection, maintenance, and safe use of sports facilities and equipment.
