Role Context
Seer Bani Yas Charter School delivers an American-based middle school curriculum to Emirati male students in Grades 6 and 7. Core learning covers English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Ministry of Education subjects alongside extracurricular activities. The Personalised Learning Specialist will reinforce curriculum objectives through individual and small-group intervention programmes. The position also involves classroom assistance, assessment preparation, progress tracking and coordination with teachers and other support staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individual students and small groups during classroom lessons.
- Deliver structured intervention sessions inside and outside the classroom.
- Use subject-specific expertise to provide targeted academic support.
- Plan intervention programmes in collaboration with teaching staff.
- Ensure interventions focus on measurable student progress.
- Align intervention content with curriculum objectives and learning needs.
- Liaise regularly with subject teachers and curriculum leaders.
- Deliver individual and small-group interventions under teacher direction.
- Adapt learning materials to different abilities and progress levels.
- Monitor student engagement and understanding during sessions.
- Provide constructive feedback that strengthens academic confidence.
- Reinforce key learning objectives through in-class support.
- Encourage active participation and independent learning.
- Help students prepare for assessments and examinations.
- Teach revision, study and retrieval-practice strategies.
- Observe and record student progress during interventions.

- Coordinate other support staff when assigned.
- Promote consistent implementation of shared intervention goals.
- Prepare and maintain teaching resources and learning materials.
- Create displays that celebrate pupils\' work and achievement.
- Assist with setting up classroom resources.
- Support attendance checks and daily classroom routines.
- Help organise classrooms and materials at the end of the day.
- Supervise students in classrooms, corridors and break areas.
- Support pupils during educational visits and other school activities.
- Promote student wellbeing, self-esteem and responsible behaviour.
- Maintain a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.
- Follow health, safety, behaviour and safeguarding policies.
- Participate in staff meetings, training and performance reviews.
- Model professional standards of conduct, dress and punctuality.
- Complete other duties assigned by the Principal or leadership team.
Ideal Profile
- UAE National with a minimum bachelor\'s degree.
- Academic specialisation in English, Mathematics, Science, Arabic or another relevant subject.
- Strong knowledge of the language used to deliver the applicable curriculum.
- Ability to provide focused individual and small-group instruction.
- Understanding of differentiated learning and academic intervention strategies.
- Ability to adapt resources according to student needs and progress levels.
- Confidence using student data to monitor intervention outcomes.
