Job summary

DrExpat is seeking a Pediatric Surgery Specialist for a premier Abu Dhabi hospital. You will diagnose and surgically manage congenital, neonatal and acquired conditions in infants, children and adolescents, collaborating with pediatricians, neonatologists and anesthesiologists to ensure high standards of care.

The role will involve performing neonatal and pediatric procedures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, adhering to international guidelines and contributing to ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in General Surgery with subspecialization in Pediatric Surgery.
• DOH license or eligibility for Pediatric Surgery practice.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat congenital and acquired surgical conditions in pediatric patients.
• Perform neonatal, infant and pediatric surgical procedures.
• Manage emergency pediatric surgical cases and trauma when required.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric healthcare teams.
• Participate in neonatal and pediatric surgical consultations.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records.
• Follow international pediatric surgical guidelines and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
