Job summary

DrExpat is seeking a Specialist Pediatric Critical Care Physician in Abu Dhabi to manage critically ill infants and children in the PICU, delivering evidence-based care with advanced life-support technologies.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive intensive care and improve patient outcomes in a modern hospital setting.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Specialist qualification in Pediatrics is required.
• Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship or significant PICU experience.
• Eligible for DOH Specialist licensure.
• Availability to join within 1–3 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Perform pediatric resuscitation and advanced life support.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support.
• Assess, stabilize and treat complex pediatric critical care cases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric teams.
• Monitor patients and adjust treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.
• Follow international pediatric critical care guidelines and safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement and CME activities.

Role Overview Specialist Pediatric Critical Care

As a Specialist Pediatric Critical Care Physician you will manage critically ill infants and children admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit PICU delivering evidence-based treatment using advanced life-support technologies You will collaborate with pediatricians pediatric surgeons anesthesiologists respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive intensive care and achieve the best possible patient outcomes
