Job summary

Healthpoint in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Guest Services Officer to manage pre-registration, registration, scheduling, patient identification, cash collections, billing and insurance eligibility. You will be the front-line point of contact for patients arriving at the hospital and over the phone.

This role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a diverse patient population while ensuring compliance with DOH and JCI standards and delivering outstanding

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients upon arrival with a smooth check-in experience.
• Accurately register patients and capture demographic/insurance details into EMR.
• Verify insurance eligibility, patient identity, and out-of-pocket responsibilities for billing.
• Secure required patient signatures and ensure patients understand rights and next steps.
• Schedule appointments, make reminder calls, and support discharge coordination.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families and clinical teams with professional communication.
• Collect payments and manage receipts, ensuring cash handling procedures.
• Handle calls and inquiries with empathy, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
• Participate in department meetings and training to meet quality and satisfaction standards.
