Job summary

Rotana in Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate Commis I to support daily kitchen operations and maintain high standards of quality. You will assist the Chef de Partie, prepare mise en place, and help ensure consistent culinary preparation in a fast-paced, multicultural hotel environment.

The ideal candidate holds a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training and demonstrates English communication, good culinary skills, and a collaborative attitude to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training completed.
• Ability to communicate in English and strong culinary knowledge.
• Positive attitude, dynamic and team-oriented with good culinary skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily kitchen operations alongside the Chef de Partie.
• Assist with mise en place and food preparation in main or satellite kitchens.
• Maintain hygienic conditions in accordance with hotel standards.
• Control food stock and costs within your assigned section.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to complete daily tasks.
• Stay up-to-date with new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections regarding operational requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control.
