Job summary

Park Rotana in Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate Commis II to join our kitchen team. You will assist the Demi Chef de Partie and Commis I, help prepare daily mis-en-place, follow menu specs, and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

You will manage stock and costs in your section, stay updated on recipes and techniques, and coordinate with other sections to ensure quality and wastage control. A minimum of 2 years' experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen experience preferred.
• Maintain hygienic work area per hotel rules.
• Prepare daily mis-en-place and contribute to production.
• Coordinate with other sections for waste control and cost awareness.
• Follow menu specifications and Chef de Partie guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I in daily operation.
• Work according to menu specifications by the Chef de Partie.
• Keep work area hygienic at all times according to hotel rules.
• Control food stock and food cost in your section.
• Prepare daily mis-en-place and contribute to main kitchen and satellites.
• Follow instructions from superiors to complete tasks.
• Ensure high standards and update recipes/techniques as needed.
• Coordinate with other sections regarding cleanliness, wastage and cost control.
