Job summary

InterContinental Dubai Marina Hotel & Residences in Dubai invites applications for a Commis II (Pastry). Join a five-star luxury team and contribute to daily pastry production, from setup to plating, while learning from seasoned chefs in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commis chef within a hotel or restaurant setting.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Passionate about food and cooking with a keen interest in learning.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mise en place and setting up food and equipment.
• Help with preparation, trimming, deboning, and portioning of meat, poultry, and other products.
• Ensure meat products are labelled, stored, and held at correct temperatures per HACCP.
• Support with food pickup, ensuring efficiency and quality while following HACCP standards.
• Assist Demi Chefs De Parties and Chef De Parties in daily operations.
• Maintain and sanitize butchery equipment, tools, and workstations.
• Monitor quality and freshness of meat products and report concerns.
• Keep kitchen and butchery area clean and organized, adhering to safety regs.
• Contribute to creating world-class dishes in a fast-paced kitchen.
