Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a five-star hotel or restaurant.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Passion for pastry and baking with eagerness to learn and develop skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pastry items according to standardized recipes and portion guidelines
• Support daily pastry section operations including baking, assembling, and decorating desserts
• Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and freshness of all pastry items
• Follow HACCP and food safety standards for handling, storage, and sanitation
• Communicate effectively with kitchen team members and supporting departments
• Assist with stock rotation, labeling, and inventory control to minimize waste
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment
• Support senior pastry chefs in meeting guest preferences and service standards
