Job summary

voco Dubai The Palmis seeks a skilled Pastry/Kitchen professional to join our vibrant hotel team. You will assist in pastry production, ensuring top quality, cost control, and HACCP compliance across outlets and buffets.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a busy hotel kitchen and collaboration with the Head Chef and F&B leadership. With 2 years in pastry, including a year in a similar role, you’ll bring bakery know-how, strong communication, and a team-first attitude to help deliver

Qualifications

• 2 years related pastry kitchen experience, including at least 1 year in a similar role.
• Knowledge of pastry and bakery techniques.
• Strong HACCP knowledge and application.
• Practical, operational and administrative skills.
• Team-player with flexible attitude and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient operation of pastry production areas as assigned by Head Chef.
• Produce and maintain high pastry quality and control for all products.
• Analyze cost and quality of food production.
• Check pastry outlets, buffets, displays for creativity, quality, cleanliness and safety; schedule and train staff.
• Share responsibility for storing procedures, orders, cost, equipment, sanitation and hygiene with leaders.
• Ensure HACCP standards are met and monitored regularly.
• Control pastry cost within budget.
• Check pastry handling and storage procedures wherever food is handled.
• Manage pastry orders with Executive Chef and related activities.
• Inspect kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Adhere to SOPs and maintain galley cleanliness.
