Job summary

Marriott International’s Le Méridien location in Abu Dhabi is seeking a kitchen cook to prepare meals, regulate oven temperatures, thaw items, and ensure proper portions and garnishes while maintaining quality and food safety.

You will assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching staff, while upholding safety and confidentiality of company assets. A minimum of 3 years of related experience and a technical/vocational education are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and substitute items according to recipes and standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures.
• Thaw frozen items in the refrigerator and ensure proper portions and presentation.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality/quantity of prepared foods.
• Inform staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items; assist service teams.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and coaching staff.
• Ensure safety policies and confidentiality of proprietary information is maintained.
