Job summary

Royal M Hotel By Gewan Abu Dhabi is seeking a professional Painter to maintain the appearance of guestrooms, villas, public areas and F&B outlets. You will prepare surfaces, apply primer and paint, and ensure work is performed safely with minimal guest disruption.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years hotel painting experience, knowledge of paints and coatings, and the ability to deliver neat finishes with attention to detail. Basic English and flexibility to work shifts are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years painting experience in a hotel, facilities-management company or commercial building.
• Good knowledge of paints, primers, varnishes, coatings and surface-preparation techniques.
• Experience with plastering, wallpaper work and colour matching is preferred.
• Able to deliver neat, high-quality finishes with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and applying primer.
• Apply paint, varnish, stain, and protective coatings to walls, ceilings, woodwork and metal surfaces.
• Carry out colour matching, touch-ups and decorative finishes to maintain hotel standards.
• Complete minor plastering, wallpaper repairs and caulking when required.
• Protect furniture and floors and restore areas after finishing.
• Attend engineering work orders and preventive maintenance schedules for guestrooms and areas.
• Inspect completed work to ensure a clean, smooth finish.
• Maintain painting tools, equipment and material stocks in good condition.
• Store paints, solvents and chemicals safely per SDS and HSE.
• Report water damage or structural concerns to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office and other departments to minimise disruption.
• Follow PPE, ladder safety and general workplace safety procedures.

Job description

As a Painter you will maintain the appearance and quality of guestrooms villas public areas F amp B outlets and back-of-house spaces You will carry out painting surface preparation and minor finishing repairs while ensuring all work is completed safely efficiently and with minimal disruption to guests

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning scraping sanding filling plastering and applying primer
• Apply paint varnish stain and protective coatings to walls ceilings doors furniture woodwork and metal surfaces
• Carry out colour matching touch-ups and decorative finishes to maintain consistent hotel standards
• Complete minor plaster gypsum silicone caulking and wallpaper repairs when required
• Protect furniture floors and surrounding areas before starting work and restore the area upon completion
• Attend Engineering work orders and preventive maintenance schedules for guestrooms and operational areas
• Inspect completed work to ensure a clean smooth and professional finish
• Maintain painting tools equipment and material stocks in good condition
• Store paints solvents and chemicals safely in accordance with SDS and HSE requirements
• Report water damage cracks recurring defects or structural concerns to the Engineering Supervisor
• Coordinate with Housekeeping Front Office and other departments to minimise operational and guest disruption
• Follow PPE ladder scaffolding and general workplace safety procedures at all times

Minimum 2 years painting experience in a hotel, facilities-management company or commercial building.Good knowledge of paints, primers, varnishes, coatings and surface-preparation techniques.Experience in minor plastering, gypsum repair, wallpaper work and colour matching is preferred.Ability to deliver neat, high-quality finishes with strong attention to detail.Able to use painting tools, ladders and access equipment safely.Physically fit and able to work indoors and outdoors when required.Basic command of English for work orders, safety instructions and handovers.Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and emergency call-outs.A relevant trade certificate is an advantage.Priority will be given to candidates available to join immediately.
