Job summary

Abbott in the UAE offers an Oncology Field-based Medical Advisor role within Established Pharmaceuticals. You will work from the UAE office and engage with Key Opinion Leaders, physicians and academic centers to communicate clinical evidence and medical information in oncology.

You will ensure compliance with local/global regulations, report adverse events within 24 hours, and spend most of your time in the field supporting the sales team with scientifically-grounded discussions.

Qualifications

• Degree in health sciences (M.D./Ph.D./PharmD or life sciences postgraduate degree advantageous).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, codes of conduct and company policies.
• Report adverse events or safety concerns to pharmacovigilance within 24 hours.
• Develop scientific partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders and HCPs through evidence-based communication and education on oncology products.
• KOL mapping and visits: identify ~10–15 KOLs across UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain; set action plans for each KOL yearly.
• Provide scientific support to internal teams; deliver credible presentations on oncology TA and clinical evidence.
• Identify investigators for clinical trials and assist in initiating and overseeing relevant studies.
• Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries; ensure reporting of inquiries and adverse events in iSTAR.
• Spend ~80% of time in field with sales team, supporting scientific discussions during visits.
• Participate in Brand Team meetings and assist with strategic medical initiatives.
