Job summary

MSD in Dubai, UAE seeks a Gulf Oncology Medical Lead / Associate Director, a physician or pharmacist with strong oncology medical affairs leadership to guide a field-based team and deliver medical plans in Gulf region.

You will manage Medical Advisors, ensure SOP compliance, lead scientific engagements, and oversee budget, research, and educational activities while maintaining high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Physician or Pharmacist (MD/PharmD) required or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Medical Affairs with at least 3 years in a Medical Advisor/Manager role.
• Strong scientific background with understanding of Medical Affairs.
• Oncology therapy area experience.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage scientific leaders at a high level.
• Arabic & English literacy.
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of Medical Advisors.
• Assesses Medical Advisor performance to objectives and competencies.
• Assists with personal development plans and monitors goals for each Advisor.
• Communicates disease area medical plans to the team and monitors performance.
• Keeps current with resources to enhance team development.
• Ensures compliance with ethics and company SOPs.
• Manages local medical strategy and planning for disease areas.
• Identifies and plans scientific leader engagement.
• Communicates science behind product portfolio to local leaders.
• Constructs and executes scientific educational activities with societies and community.
• Reviews local promotional materials for compliance with guidelines.
• Ensures promotional and non-promotional activities comply with regulations.
