Job summary

Wood is seeking a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to join our UAE Business Unit in Sharjah on a full-time, office-based role with business trips. The position requires extensive experience in oil and gas projects, and the candidate will lead engineering scopes and teams.

You will provide technical direction, oversee design reviews, and collaborate with clients to deliver complex brownfield projects while contributing to growth and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• B.S. or equivalent degree in the Engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum of 15+ years relevant experience in major Brownfield oil & gas projects, including at least five (5) years in similar position.
• Knowledge of Wood's business position and ability to manage technical and commercial risk.

Responsibilities

• Definition and approval of technical scopes.
• Executing assigned scopes of work.
• Providing technical expertise to the business.
• Contributing to business growth.
• May supervise and mentor technical staff and/or act as a technical specialist.
