Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Construction Manager in the UAE to lead on-site activities for large oil and gas projects. The role demands a track record in delivering complex capital programs on time, within budget, and to safety and quality standards.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with design, engineering and procurement, and ensure compliance with local regulations. A senior engineering degree and international experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree with engineering background and relevant Oil & Gas exposure.
• Minimum 20 years of Oil & Gas experience including 5+ years on major capital projects (>$500M).
• Experience in an Oil & Gas operating company is highly desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Willingness to travel extensively and relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site construction activities to meet schedule, budget, quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and procurement to ensure constructability.
• Manage contractor performance, cost control, and schedule for assigned scope.
• Lead health, safety and environmental compliance for site activities.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications and client requirements.
• Monitor progress and report against plan, flag risks.
