Job summary

Archirodon Group N.V. is seeking a Lead Engineer to supervise and manage structural steel erection on a major Oil & Gas EPC project in the UAE.

You will coordinate daily site activities with construction teams, QA/QC, HSE and project management, and ensure installation aligns with GA, erection, shop drawings, MTOs and bolt schedules. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, at least 5 years of engineering/construction experience and 3 years of industrial site

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 5 years engineering/construction experience.
Minimum 3 years industrial site experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Power construction.
Proven experience in structural steel erection, bolted connections, and steel structures.
Brownfield project experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage structural steel erection activities.
Coordinate daily site activities with construction teams, subcontractors, engineers, QA/QC, HSE, and project management.
Ensure structural steel installation is carried out as per GA, erection, shop, connection drawings, MTOs, and bolt schedules.
Monitor bolted steel connections, alignment, leveling, bolt tightening, and erection quality.
Review drawings, technical documents, and survey information; coordinate with relevant departments for discrepancies.
Conduct site inspections and coordinate with QA/QC to ensure compliance with project specs and standards.
Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, and daily progress to achieve targets.
Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports, site records, and documentation.
Coordinate lifting and erection activities with the lifting team and ensure compliance with lifting plans and HSE.
Ensure compliance with structural, bolting, welding, lifting, work-at-height, and site safety requirements.
Identify site constraints and delays; coordinate timely resolution.
Support brownfield construction activities as applicable.
Update drawings and inspection records through document-control systems.
Coordinate with surveyors for setting out and dimensional verification.
Participate in site meetings and provide technical input on structural steel erection.
