Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Lead Project Engineer for our Sharjah, UAE office. The role is full-time and office-based, supporting Iraq Operations with a strong emphasis on engineering delivery, discipline leadership and project execution across brownfield oil & gas projects.

Ideal candidates will have 15+ years in major oil & gas projects, FEED experience, and deep knowledge of GCC regulations. This role offers a stable, long-term career with Wood's global resources and project support

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or equivalent degree in the Engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 15+ years relevant experience in major Brownfield oil & gas projects, including at least five (5) years in a similar position.
• Experience in Oil and Gas projects across the GCC region, preferred.
• Pre-FEED, FEED experience is required.
• Hands-on experience managing or delivering Lump Sum contracts/projects.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment.
• Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
• Ensures successful completion of the assigned project/phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
• Defines engineering approaches, and plans and schedules work.
• Provides technical input and leadership to project teams.
