Job summary

Parsons in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking a Civil Inspector to support water distribution network construction. You will work with the Resident Engineer, perform daily site supervision, verify quality, and ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and ITPs.

The role requires an engineering degree and at least 2 years of site inspection experience, with HSE duties, testing witness, and maintaining inspection records. A six-day site week may be required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Ministry of Higher Education degree certification.
• Minimum 2 years of site inspection experience.
• Consultancy experience on similar scope preferred.
• Fluent English reading and writing.
• Availability for full-time site work.
• Six-day site week as required under the Agreement.
• Knowledge of water distribution networks and related civil works.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities with Resident Engineer and ensure sequence/quality.
• Carry out daily site inspections and identify deviations from requirements.
• Inspect water distribution network construction components and backfill.
• Verify compliance with drawings, specs, ITPs, and standards.
• Check pipework for alignment, levels, and gradients.
• Maintain inspection records and photographic logs.
• Attend field and laboratory testing and witness tests.
• Raise inspection requests and support NCRs and snagging.
• Monitor HSE compliance and safety practices on site.
