Job summary
Confidential in Dubai invites a Trading Operator to support end-to-end execution of physical oil product trades and the voyages that serve them. You will work under the Operations Manager to execute logistics from nomination through discharge, ensuring all movements are captured accurately and on time in the relevant systems.
You will maintain operational records for invoicing, claims and compliance, and provide timely information to Trading, Shipping, Finance and Risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Shipping or Business.
- 2-4 years' experience in trading/shipping operations.
- Exposure to month-end stock reconciliations.
- Exposure to oil products and vessel operations.
- Strong Excel and data handling skills.
Responsibilities
- Execute the optimised operational plan for assigned cargoes and coordinate with logistics, terminals and manufacturing sites.
- Issue nominations, laycan confirmations, berth and terminal bookings, and loading/discharge instructions per contract terms.
- Appoint surveyors/inspectors and circulate test results promptly.
- Understand blends and key quality parameters; manage documents and LC formats.
- Develop scenarios to assess supply options and mitigate disruptions.
- Perform month-end stock reconciliations across terminals and vessels; investigate variances.
