We are now recruiting for a journalist who will specialise in the oil and gas sectors in the Gulf and wider Middle East to join our newsroom in Dubai.
Oil is the dominant sector in the GCC and wider Middle East. Despite ambition diversification strategies by the region’s governments, oil their long-term economic success is still heavily dependent on this core sector.
As AGBI’s Oil and Gas Editor, you will serve as the in-house expert, delivering timely, high-quality content that provides depth, context, and clarity on developments within the energy sector—ranging from upstream and downstream activity to energy policy, OPEC+ decisions, renewables integration, and national diversification strategies such as Saudi Vision 2030.

Suit able candidates will have at least five years’ relevant reporting experience, having worked in a busy newsroom.
