Responsibilities

• Implement enterprise data network and ICT solutions with customers and partners.
• Configure deployments per approved designs, specifications, and security requirements.
• Install and configure Cisco/Aruba switches, wireless controllers, routers, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
• Monitor network hardware, applications, connectivity, and performance at customer premises.
• Perform advanced diagnostics to identify faults and incidents and resolve outages.
• Own break-fix incidents end-to-end until service restored.
• Coordinate repair or replacement with vendors and service partners.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and health checks.
• Respond to service requests within SLA limits.
• Perform network upgrades and security configuration changes.
• Execute change management with planning and verification.

Role Context

The Network Engineer takes technical ownership of customer data network and ICT infrastructure supported through Annual Maintenance Contracts. Rather than functioning as a ticket-based support position, the role covers implementation, configuration, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, incident recovery, upgrades, and controlled network changes. Reliable infrastructure performance directly affects customer operations, making rapid troubleshooting, accurate technical decisions, SLA compliance, and effective coordination with vendors and service partners central to the position.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement enterprise data network and ICT solutions in coordination with customers, technology principals, service providers, and business partners.
• Configure deployments according to approved network designs, technical specifications, security requirements, and operational parameters.
• Install and configure Cisco and Aruba switches, wireless controllers, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and associated network infrastructure.
• Monitor enterprise network hardware, applications, connectivity, and infrastructure performance at customer premises.
• Perform advanced diagnostics to identify network faults, performance degradation, connectivity problems, and infrastructure abnormalities.
• Take end-to-end ownership of break-fix incidents, progressing from initial diagnosis and root cause analysis through restoration of normal service.
• Coordinate the repair or replacement of failed network equipment with vendors, principals, and relevant support teams.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and infrastructure health checks to identify risks before they cause service interruption.
• Respond to technical service requests within contractual SLA requirements while minimizing customer downtime.
• Perform network upgrades involving patches, hotfixes, service packs, firmware, and security configuration changes.
• Execute approved change management activities with appropriate planning, technical validation, documentation, and post-change verification.
• Support routing, switching, enterprise Wi‑Fi, WAN, DNS, DHCP, proxy, firewall, and related infrastructure environments.
• Apply networking protocols and technologies including IGMP, IPSEC, VRRP, HSRP, STP, OSPF, 802.11, and QoS during implementation and troubleshooting.
• Use network monitoring, diagnostic, and analytics tools to assess infrastructure health and investigate technical issues.
• Maintain accurate configuration records, technical documentation, incident information, maintenance reports, and implementation details.
• Provide customers with practical system usage training and technical guidance following deployment or configuration changes.
• Prioritize incidents, maintenance activities, and project workloads to protect service availability and meet customer commitments.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor 's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Valid CCNP certification in Routing and Switching.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience across data networks, routing and switching, infrastructure, enterprise Wi‑Fi, and network security solutions.
• Practical experience supporting Cisco and Aruba switching and wireless environments.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise routers, switches, wireless controllers, firewalls, proxy servers, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP.
• Proven experience covering requirements gathering, design, testing, configuration, documentation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
