Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Electrical Engineer for design and application of MV switchgear in Dubai. You will execute detailed engineering, protect relays, and ensure IEC compliance across AIS/GIS up to 36kV. You’ll collaborate with sales and project teams, review client specs, and help during FAT and site queries.

The role emphasizes protection coordination, relay configuration, and application engineering with a focus on quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years in MV switchgear design and protection engineering.
• Proficient with IEC 62271 series and IEC 60255 standards.
• Experience with numerical protection relays and coordination studies.

Responsibilities

• Design and review MV switchgear drawings and interlocking logic.
• Perform busbar sizing, short‑circuit, and thermal calculations.
• Apply IEC standards and engineering templates.
• Configure protection relays and set calculations.
• Develop trip matrices and interlocking logic.
• Support FAT, commissioning and field queries.
