Job summary

Vertiv in Dubai seeks a Sr. Electrical Design and Controls Engineer to lead switchgear design and control system development for industrial and utility projects.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, deliver detailed schematics, BOMs, and ensure IEC/IEEE compliance while guiding junior engineers. The role demands strong technical leadership, project management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; PE license a plus.
• Minimum 5–10 years of electrical design experience focused on switchgear and controls.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of electrical switchgear systems (medium/low voltage).
• Create BOMs and approve electrical drawings for manufacture.
• Develop detailed schematics and layout drawings per client specs.
• Oversee integration of switchgear with power distribution and control systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
