Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Protection Relay Programming & Testing Engineer to join the MV Protection & Relay Engineering team in the UAE. The role focuses on programming, testing, and commissioning protection relays for MV and LV systems, with emphasis on ABB, Siemens, and Schneider relays and coordinating with PLC/SCADA interfaces.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering.
• 7–12 years of experience in protection relay programming, testing, and protection/control systems.
• Experience with MV switchgear, control and relay panels, and electrical protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Protection relay programming, configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting for MV and LV protection systems.
• Prepare and review relay setting files, test procedures, and commissioning reports.
• Verify relay settings against protection coordination studies.
• FAT/SAT, site testing, and final system validation.
• Interact with PLC/RTU/SCADA/EPMS interfaces and ensure end-to-end protection integrity.
