Job summary

MEPCO MEP Modular Factory in Dubai is seeking an experienced MEP Modular BIM Engineer. You will lead the development of modular BIM models (LOD 400), create fabrication and installation drawings, and coordinate with production, QA/QC, and site teams.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Revit MEP, Navisworks, and modularization of complete MEP zones. A graduate degree in Building Services Engineering or related field is required, with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of MEP/BIM/design experience with modularization/prefabrication/DfMA preferred.
• Graduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Expert proficiency in Revit MEP and Navisworks.
• Proven ability to develop LOD 400 BIM models, fabrication/shop drawings and installation/assembly drawings.
• Strong experience in converting conventional MEP designs into fabrication‑ready modular solutions.
• Ability to modularize complete MEP zones and complex assemblies.
• Strong understanding of MEP coordination, constructability, fabrication, transportation, lifting and site installation.
• Ability to perform or coordinate structural/stress analysis of MEP modules with relevant software.
• Experience coordinating with factory production, QA/QC, project and site teams.
• Experience developing modular design standards and fabrication methodologies is an advantage.

WE ARE HIRING | MEP Modular BIM Engineer

MEPCO MEP Modular Factory is seeking experienced professionals with strong expertise in MEP modularization, BIM, LOD 400 detailing, and engineering analysis.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant MEP/BIM/design experience, with 2–3+ years of hands‑on MEP modularization/prefabrication/DfMA experience preferred.


• Graduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.


• Expert proficiency in Revit MEP and Navisworks.


• Proven ability to develop LOD 400 BIM models, fabrication/shop drawings and installation/assembly drawings.


• Strong experience in converting conventional MEP designs into fabrication‑ready modular solutions.


• Ability to modularize complete MEP zones, including MEP/service corridors, risers, meter rooms, plantrooms, pump rooms, service rooms and other complex MEP assemblies.


• Strong understanding of MEP coordination, constructability, fabrication, transportation, lifting, handling and site installation.


• Must have the ability to perform or coordinate structural/stress analysis of MEP modules, including frames, supports, connections, lifting points and transportation/installation loads.


• Experience with relevant structural analysis software such as Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2022, STAAD.Pro, ETABS or equivalent.


• Ability to coordinate with factory production, fabrication, QA/QC, project and site teams.


• Experience developing modular design standards, typical details and fabrication methodologies is an advantage.


• Experience with high‑rise, hospitality, commercial, healthcare, industrial or large‑scale mixed‑use projects involving MEP modularization is preferred.

Important: This is not a conventional BIM Modeler position. Candidates must demonstrate practical experience in MEP modular design and fabrication, together with the ability to undertake or support engineering/stress analysis of modular assemblies.
