MEP Inspector

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented MEP Inspector to join our team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Conduct inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications.
• Maintain office files related to the project and write daily diaries.
• Prepare daily reports and other documentation as required by the contract.
• Verify that only approved materials are incorporated in the work.
• Perform labor compliance interviews and maintain as-built plans.
• Recognize potential conflicts, issues, and problems, and report to supervisor with proposed solutions.
• Collect, review, and file Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other material information.
• Provide technical guidance to lower-level inspectors, when needed.
• Coordinate work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing.
• Participate in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports.
• Participate in the development of quality control reports and procedures.
• Report on installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a diploma in a construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience related to the projects.
• Minimum 7 years of electromechanical construction experience on infrastructure, road, and general landscaping projects, preferably in Dubai.
• Experience supervising construction of infrastructure, pumping/lifting stations, substations, landscaping, etc., preferably in Dubai.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction-related processes related to the area of assignment.
• Knowledge of English and ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing; to follow oral and written instructions, prepare written messages, and simple charts and graphs.
