Job summary

Parsons is seeking an experienced MEP Inspector to join our Construction Supervision team in Abu Dhabi. You will inspect and monitor MEP works for major infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, standards and HSE.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree and at least 7 years in construction inspection, with familiarity of stormwater pumping stations and SCADA systems. Strong reporting and communication skills are essential.

Role Summary

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented MEP Inspector to join our Construction Supervision team! In this role you will inspect and monitor MEP works for major infrastructure project ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards and HSE requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Inspect and monitor all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA works related to stormwater pumping stations.
• Verify that construction activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
• Conduct routine site inspections and document observations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Witness installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for pumps, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Review materials delivered to site and verify compliance with approved material submittals.
• Monitor contractor compliance with approved method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures.
• Report non-conforming works and coordinate corrective actions with the Contractor and supervising engineers.
• Ensure compliance with project Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports.
• Coordinate with the Assistant Resident Engineer, Resident Engineer, Contractor, and relevant stakeholders to resolve site issues and ensure smooth project progress.
• Assist in the review of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and handover documentation.
• Support project closeout activities, including final inspections and snagging works.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years experience in construction inspection/supervision on infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience on stormwater/wastewater/water utility/pumping station projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment (pumps, piping), electrical installations, instrumentation, SCADA, and testing/commissioning activities.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, ITPs, method statements, and applicable construction standards.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Good understanding of construction HSE requirements.
• Strong reporting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and inspection reporting systems.
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, clients, and relevant authorities.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Previous experience on major stormwater pumping station projects in the UAE or GCC region.
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authority requirements, standards and approval processes.
• Experience witnessing testing, commissioning and performance verification of pumping station systems.
• Professional certifications related to construction inspection, quality management or health and safety.
