Job summary

GMCO Electromechanical Works L.L.C. in Dubai is seeking an MEP Estimation Engineer to prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP works, perform quantities take-off, BOQ preparation, and cost analysis from drawings, specs, and tender documents.

The role is on-site and collaborates with design and project teams. You will review project scope, gather information, analyze supplier quotes, and prepare technical/commercial proposals.

Qualifications

• BOQ preparation for MEP projects and accurate quantity take-offs.
• Strong knowledge of civil and MEP engineering relevant to construction projects.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to study drawings, specifications, market rates, and technical data.
• Experience in UAE or GCC MEP estimation in contracting or consultancy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP works from drawings, specs and tender docs.
• Perform quantities take-off and BOQ preparation, and cost analysis.
• Review project scope and assess technical requirements with design and project teams.
• Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations and prepare technical/commercial proposals.
• Update estimation databases and support negotiations with procurement and management.
• Contribute to value engineering and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
