Job summary

Emirates Electrical Engineering LLC is seeking an MEP Document Controller to manage and control all project-related documents for MEP projects, ensuring accurate tracking and timely filing.

Responsibilities include maintaining document logs, coordinating with project managers, engineers, consultants and clients, updating drawings to latest revisions, preparing transmittals, and supporting handover with as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and completion records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in related field; Document Control certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Document Controller in MEP/construction.
• Experience managing drawings, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and control all MEP project documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, method statements, material approvals, and project correspondence.
• Manage document control processes and ensure all documents are properly registered, distributed, and archived.
• Maintain document logs and tracking registers for incoming and outgoing documents.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients regarding document submission and approvals.
• Ensure all drawings and documents are updated with the latest revisions and versions.
• Prepare transmittals for document submission to clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Monitor document status and follow up on pending approvals and comments.
• Maintain electronic and hard-copy filing systems.
• Support project handover by compiling and organizing final documentation, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and completion records.
• Ensure compliance with company document control procedures and project requirements.
• Generate document control reports as required by project management.
