Job summary

Big Fish Consult is seeking an experienced MEP Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial management of major projects in the UAE. Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in MEP/electromechanical contracting with commercial management expertise.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale, high-value projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC, contracts, variations, claims, valuations, procurement, and final accounts.
• Experience leading commercial teams across multiple projects.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.

We are looking for an experienced MEP Commercial Manager to join a leading MEP contracting business in the UAE and oversee the commercial management of major, high-value projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP/electromechanical contracting, with proven experience managing the full commercial lifecycle of complex projects, from tendering and contract negotiation through to final accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of large-scale MEP projects from tender to final account.
• Manage contracts, variations, claims, valuations, and commercial negotiations.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow, and profitability.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier agreements, payments, and procurement-related commercial matters.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Manage and mentor commercial/QS teams across multiple projects.
• Ensure compliance with FIDIC, contractual obligations, and company procedures.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, consultants, and main contractors to achieve commercial objectives.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in MEP/electromechanical contracting, with strong commercial management expertise.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale, high-value projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC, contracts, variations, claims, valuations, procurement, and final accounts.
• Experience managing commercial teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV systems.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
