Job summary

Spacetech Engineering Consultancy Services in Dubai is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC Design to join our mechanical engineering team. You will prepare HVAC drawings, calculations, and specifications for construction projects in Dubai.

The ideal candidate has at least five years' experience in HVAC design within a consultancy or contracting firm, with strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards and Dubai authority requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC design drawings, load calculations, and equipment selection for Dubai projects.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who is specialist in HVAC Design to join our mechanical engineering team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable preparing HVAC design drawings, calculations, and specifications for construction projects in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

HVAC Design & Engineering

• Prepare HVAC design drawings, load calculations, and equipment selection for construction projects.
• Develop mechanical specifications, schedules, and BOQs for HVAC systems.
• Review shop drawings and technical submittals from contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes and authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, Civil Defence).

General Mechanical Support

• Support design and review of other mechanical services such as plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems as required.
• Assist in equipment selection and sizing for pumps, tanks, and other mechanical components.
• Stay updated on mechanical codes and standards applicable to HVAC and general building services in Dubai.

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and other MEP teams during design development.
• Support authority approval submissions and respond to review comments.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams during installation and commissioning.
• Attend project meetings and give technical input as required.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC design, ideally with a consultancy or contracting firm.

Technical Skills

• Good working knowledge of HVAC design software such as HAP, Revit MEP, or Auto CAD.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and Dubai authority requirements.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
